She worked herself into a sweat, and then finally finished her set - panting as she raised a gloved hand to wipe her brow, and sheathe her sword. She was technically watching Cade, but it had become such an easy ritual these days that it didn't feel much like watching him so much as being around him, in case he should require assistance.
She wandered back over to where he sat, lowering herself onto the stairs a little more heavily than was graceful, and taking out her flask. It was just water, but after that bout, it tasted incredibly sweet, and without even thinking about it she offered it to Cade once she'd had a drink.
He watched her return with a pleasant expression, and shook his head when she offered him water. What a silly thing to do, when she'd been the one exerting herself! "I don't envy anyone who gets in your way," he quietly complimented, in the back of his mind adding that she didn't even need a sword to back up that observation. He finished the bun and idly wiped his hand off on the stone step, not wanting any residue to end up in his clothes, even if now his hand would be dirty. It was fine, part of being outside.
